Jeff Gordon's Viral BS

A new viral video has hit the internet, and ever-failing news stations, where NASCAR's Jeff Gordon pranks a car salesman with an outrageous test-drive.  The whole thing seems staged... and while I'm not shocked, news stations should be ashamed for delivering this as NEWS.

First of all, I have to say the video is hilarious.  With that out of the way, here are the reasons why I call bull:

  1. Jeff pretends to have a hard time with the clutch in the beginning... how entertaining since the car is an automatic...
  2. Have you ever signed a waiver for a test drive? No... you didn't. So why did Jeff?
  3. The sales guy has to be an actor... Pepsi Max isn't about to let unknown possibilities from strangers ruin their marketing gimmick
  4. For those of you who don't know - test drives are done on roads... did you see any road signs?
Dear Media: This video is funny, yes. You should know better... your job is to research and report actual news. Congrats on that fail! In case you haven't noticed you have a reputation for producing bullshit. Try fixing it...
