Cardinal Says Pedophilia Isn't a Crime
With an already horrid reputation, you're probably not the least bit shocked about the latest statement from a South African Cardinal. In fact, it was potentially more disturbing than the hundreds of comments from the Republican Party... too bad our bodies don't have the ability to shut themselves down when they're being stupid. Apparently we can only do that when becoming pregnant after rape (regardless of legitimacy of said rape) dumbasses...
Anyway, Cardinal Napier, who helped elect the new pope, told the BBC,
"From my experience, pedophilia is actually an illness. It's not a criminal condition..."
He went on to explain how he knew at least two priests who became pedophiles after being abused as children. OH really! Did they happen to be abused by priests, because you guys excel at doing that while everyone turns the other cheek... not to mention it's "not a crime anyway"... you moron.
The idiocracy continues... he mentioned that those people (pedophiles) shouldn't be criminally responsible like someone who CHOOSES to do that. I'm sorry, what!? I don't care what "disease" you think this is... the person (not that they deserve to be called that) is still making conscious decisions on how to act.
They ARE choosing to do this! Are they necessarily mentally stable people, NO, but that does not excuse them from being punished for this. It is a crime, and obviously it's time for the Catholic Church, popes, cardinals (ALL PEDOPHILES INCLUDED HERE) to realize it... and to realize they make up probably at least 85% of the pedophile population.
Dear Cardinal: Your idiocracy and ignorance is what's causing this "disease" to continue. You're affecting children and causing them to live a life filled with memories of disgust, hatred and confusion. There are simply not enough explitaves in any language to fully explain the frigging monsters you are. What IS a crime is how the lot of you haven't been revoked of your meaningless titles, and how not a single person has done jack shit to fix any of it.
The sad part for you, is that you know your judgement day is coming. How funny will it be to see the rest of your priesty bretheren burning right next to you?

now I do not condone child molestation in any shape or form and I do not know the exact document you've made this blogpost from but, I do think there's an important differentiation between being a child molester who has convinced himself that it is ok and a pedophile who knows his desires are unhealthy and wants to change himself which is hard to be treated from with all the stigmatization against said individuals who are aware that it is wrong, which I believe was what the cardinal tried to convey.

At the time, I was in such disbelief (and somewhat irritated by it) that I went on a little bit of a rant. He holds a very influential position in many people's lives, so that's what causes me to be so against it altogether. If he realizes it's wrong, he should get help. You're right though, at least he understands that it's not right.
